To Answer Your Question…
I have probably been asked about 500 times (if not more) the following question:
HOW in the world do you get that bow to stay in her hair?!
So, I have been meaning to do this post for a while to finally answer your burning question…maybe you can all sleep better tonight once you know. Ha! ;)
Before I show the how-to, to address some of your other questions:
- No, I do not, in fact, glue, velcro or tape it into her hair. (Seriously, what kind of parent would do that?!?! They are super cute, but promise I would not do that even if it was in the name of fashion.)
- No, she doesn’t hate them. She doesn’t even realize they are there (yet). I have been told by many moms that if I want her to keep them in later on down the road (I do), to start EARLY because then she will be used to them and (hopefully) won’t want to pull them out. Worth a try!
So, it’s pretty hard to take detailed, close-up photos of a 7-month old’s head. But I tried. Behold, the bow:

As you can see, it’s just a super tight clip that snaps shut. It only needs approximately two strands of hair to clip onto (which is good since she has very little hair so far!). So here’s how it works to put it on H:

Then push down (impossible to get a pic of this, but use your imagination)…

Just in case this little photo tutorial wasn’t enough, I got Heather to take a short video today as well.
And there you have it, folks. I personally feel a little better now that you know I don’t glue/velcro/tape it to her head. Now don’t ask me again.
Just kidding.
Kinda. ;)
